Dive into Grace Walker’s captivating journey on “FitMIND FitBODY,” where she opens up about her transformation through running. Growing up on a remote island, Grace’s early experiences with sports laid the foundation for her resilience and adaptability.

Grace shares her pivotal moment of overcoming a significant ACL injury, highlighting the mental and physical challenges she faced during recovery. This period was a turning point, reshaping her relationship with running from a mere activity to a profound source of strength and healing.

Join us to explore Grace’s insights on perseverance, the therapeutic power of running, and her journey towards self-discovery. Through her story, we uncover lessons on resilience, preparation, and the deep love for the run.

Grace’s Running Tips:
1) Embrace Your Runner Identity: if you can run for 60 seconds, you’re a runner, challenging the notion that only those who participate in races or marathons are runners.
2) Future Pacing for Motivation: use the technique of future pacing to motivate oneself to run, especially on difficult days. This involves visualising how good you’ll feel after the run.
3) Preparation and Routine: preparing your running gear the night before and setting a motivational song as your alarm to help get out the door, especially when motivation is low.
4) Flexibility in Running Schedule: be flexibility in running schedules, encouraging running at different times of the day to find what works best for you.
5) Running as a Mental Exercise: try viewing running not just as physical exercise but as a mental one, where you find space to reflect and generate new ideas.
6) Incorporating Strength Training: strength training that supports your running – brings balance to your fitness routine.
